Slovenia in FAIR
The Republic of Slovenia signed the FAIR convention on 4 October 2010 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Slovenia holds 1.2 percent of the current FAIR GmbH shares.
Slovene research organisations and Slovene high-tech companies, which are strongly linked with each other, possess a wide and in many segments unique knowledge of the techniques around accelerator construction. With FAIR, Slovenia aims to participate in a European and world-wide rapidly developing field of research and technology. The participation will enable Slovenian science to equally participate in the phase of FAIR operation, and during the construction of FAIR existing international research collaborations will be strengthened and new research groups will be formed.
Slovenian researchers will be especially engaged in developing and producing beam diagnostics and control systems for the accelerators.
