FAIR – Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH makes every effort to make its website accessible without barriers in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and Council. This declaration was created or revised on 17 November 2021. The review of digital accessibility was carried out in a self-assessment, but has not yet been fully completed. 

How barrier-free is the service?

This website is only partially barrier-free. The requirements of § 14 paragraph 1 HessBGG are only partially fulfilled.

Which areas are not barrier-free?

The areas listed below are not compatible with the current BITV for the following reasons:

Barrier: Page areas

Description: The side regions and ARIA landmarks are not sufficient.

Measures: The visual regions of the page are defined as header, navigation, main, footer elements.

Description: The page uses event handlers that are not device independent.

Measures: The problems of the event handlers are technically revised.

Conciliation procedure

The Federal Government Commissioner for the Interests of Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration board according to § 16 BGG. The conciliation office has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public bodies.

You can call on the conciliation office if you are not satisfied with the answers from the above-mentioned contact option. It is not about finding winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the conciliation office.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal advice either.

On the website of the conciliation office you will find all information about the conciliation procedure. There you can read about how a conciliation procedure works and how to submit a request for conciliation. You can also submit the request in easy language or in German sign language.
