Discovery of 2p radioactivity of 45Fe in 2002 in GSI started new page in the studies of three-body phenomena in the dripline nuclei. Within decade our knowledge in this field has improved drastically. In the recent years there has been also a revival of interest to light 2p emitters and 2n emitters, which  dynamics can be characterized as "democratic" decay. The novel data on 6Be, 12O, 16Ne, 10He, 13Li, 16Be, 26O are among the most interesting results in this field. Importance of initial state structure and reaction mechanism treatment is demonstrated by example of the recent, both experimental and theoretical, results on 6Be and 10He nuclei. Basing on the obtained results, which are often unexpected and even paradoxical, we may state that much deeper theoretical interpretations are needed to deal with modern experimental data on 2p/2n emission.
