The HRS workshop shall bring together experts from several continents, who have expertise in design, construction and operation of high-resolution magnetic spectrometers for experiments with stable and radioactive ion beams. The goal is to exchange ideas and launch an informal collaboration, which will

• develop new ideas for an interesting, high-level physics programme with exotic nuclei using high-resolution spectrometers at the various present and future RIB facilities.
• define the technical needs for such experiments and design the spectrometer and detection systems to perform them.
• run experiments in the next 5+ years (and, on the way to that goal, use existing installations and run preparatory experiments, incl. developments, tests, etc.).
