Celebrating Knowledge, Collaboration, and Research Mobility: Highlights from #ERASMUSDAYS 2023

Reflecting on the enriching experience at #ERASMUSDAYS 2023, a demonstration of collaboration and innovation in the world of science and technology, through exchange prorgamme supported by the European Union.

ERASMUSDAYS 2023 brought together an impressive array of participants, including students, researchers, and representatives from esteemed institutions such as Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt University of Technology, Unite! - Network of Universities of Innovation, Technology, and Engineering, and European Universities of Technology (EUT+). The primary objective of this gathering was to foster stronger collaboration, co-innovation, and knowledge exchange within the realm of science and technology. The event was inaugurated with the welcome speed thoughtful words of inspiration by Professor. Paolo Giubellino the Managing Director of the FAIR and GSI.

The event was witnessed by the presence of inspirational speakers who shared their wisdom and experiences, leaving an indelible mark on all attendees. The speakers included including 5 Erasmus+ alumni, 5 Mentors and 2 Coordinators of large European University Networks. Additionally, the day offered exclusive tours of the FAIR Civil Construction Site and GSI Campus, granting an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the knowledge driving high-end research and innovation at FAIR and GSI.

One of the highpoints of #ERASMUSDAYS 2023 was a thought-provoking discussion on the issue of sustainability in mobility. This conversation featured a diverse range of perspectives, including those of Erasmus+ students, FAIR/GSI mentors, Darmstadt University of Applied Science professors, and representatives from ESN student organizations. The multifaceted discussion underscored the pressing importance of sustainable mobility in today's world. The participants in the panel unanimously agreed that more attention to this topic has to be given on all levels. Mere awareness campaigns will not be helpful in the long run.
