During the NUSTAR Annual meeting 2018, the NUSTAR Board of Representatives elected among its members Wolfram Korten (CEA Saclay, France) as new Spokesperson of NUSTAR.

In January 2018, Berta Rubio (IFIC Valencia, Spain) and Iain Moore (University of Jyvaskyla, Finland) were elected by the NUSTAR Council for a two year term (2018-2020) as new members of the NUSTAR Board of Representatives.

On October 10, 2017, a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar visited FAIR and GSI.

The NUSTAR Collaboration met in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from September 25 to 29 during the NUSTAR Week 2017. This was the 9th international meeting in a series, this time hosted by the Jozef Stefan Institute.

During the NUSTAR Annual Meeting 2017, Takayuki Yamaguchi (Saitama Univ., Japan) has been elected as new spokesperson of the ILIMA Collaboration.

During the last collaboration meeting in April 2017, the members of the R3B experiment elected Dolores Cortina (Univ. Santiago de Compostela) as the new Spokesperson and Haik Simon (GSI Darmstadt) as the new Deputy Spokesperson.

The NUSTAR Annual Meeting 2017 was held at GSI in the week February 27 to March 2. With almost 200 international participants, the attendance was again very high this year.

In January 2017, Wolfram Korten (CEA Saclay, France), Zsolt Podolyak (Univ. of Surrey, UK), and Haik Simon (GSI Darmstadt, Germany) were elected by the NUSTAR Council for a two year term (2017-2019) as new members of the NUSTAR Board of Representatives.

The NUSTAR Collaboration met in York, UK, from September 26 to 30 during the NUSTAR Week 2016.
